Aaah, the original Queens of Noise :] Luv em. I also LOVED the film! Been wanting to see it for yonks and I finally watched it last night while monsieur was on his PS3.
Dakota Fanning and Kristen Stewart were amazing. It's so hard to believe that Joan Jett and cherie Currie were only 15/16 at the time. Cherie's voice was nothing like that of a 15 year old's! So raw and mature.
It's just a shame that they had to use lyrics that were so unsuitable for their young age in a bid to breakthrough and establish a path for female rockers. Even the way they behaved was fucked up, drugs on demand etc But then again, I guarantee you almost every music star of this generation is doing the same thing...only they don't have the balls to admit it. These girls were ruffians man lol
